Dean Health Plan Pledges Transparency

Dean Heath Plan’s (DHP’s) commitment to price transparency has always been a highlight of the valuable services our members use to manage their healthcare. Now DHP is pleased to announce its participation in the Wisconsin Association of Health Plans’ Transparency Initiative.

“DHP is dedicated to helping members not only manage their overall well-being but also equipping them with the financial information required to make informed healthcare choices day to day,” says Robert L. Palmer, chief executive officer of DHP. Participation in this initiative serves as a public pledge that DHP agrees to help members access information about the cost of their healthcare.

To learn about your financial responsibility prior to a procedure or service, call our Customer Service Department at 608-828-1301 or 800-279-1301 and be prepared to provide:

• Name of provider
• Current procedural terminology (CPT) code
• Date or approximate date of service
• Amount your provider is billing

Your customer service representative will use this information to provide you with an approximate cost and your financial responsibility, followed by a more specific written estimate within five working days of your request.
