STROKE
What are the signs of stroke, and what should I do if someone is having a stroke?
A: A stroke is a medical emergency,
but new treatments may
help if received right away.
Call 911 or your local emergency number
if someone suddenly has trouble speaking
or understanding or seems confused; has
numbness or weakness of the face, arm,
or leg, especially on one side of the body;
can’t see out of one or both eyes; has a
severe headache for no reason; or has
difficulty walking, feels dizzy, or loses
coordination or balance.
