No “I” in team

Everything included in the definition of “teamwork” is dependent upon a coordinated and cooperative relationship between individuals. Teamwork is defined as “persons acting together in the interest of a common cause.” Nothing in the description or definition of teamwork is “self-serving” (i.e. “person or people acting together in the interest of an individual’s cause”).
At Faith Regional, our teamwork depends on each of us acting together in the interest of serving Christ by providing exemplary care to all people in an environment of love and care. This is why we require leadership in every position at Faith Regional. Leaders are those who lead by example, are not self-serving, and are persistent in their effort to achieve the mission by not taking no for an answer. The commitment to serve others is noble and strong, while the commitment to serve oneself is lonely and weak.
“I” is not a team, nor does a person acting on his or her own behalf define or resemble teamwork. “There is no ‘I’ in team!” Faith Regional, working together as leaders and teammates, will continue to positively affect the lives of people living in and visiting northeast Nebraska.
