BlueCard keeps you covered.

When you’re a BlueOptions^® or BlueChoice^® member, you take your health care benefits with you across the country and around the world. BlueCard^® and BlueCard Worldwide^® are programs that enable members traveling or living outside of Florida to obtain health care services from participating providers in other states and in 200 countries and territories around the world.

When you use BlueCard participating providers, you only have to pay your usual out-of-pocket expenses (non-covered services, deductible, copayment and coinsurance) and you don’t have to file any claim forms.

To take charge of your health and health care expenses wherever you are, you should:

1. Verify your benefits before you leave home by calling the toll-free customer service number on the back of your member ID card.
2. Check our online provider directory to find doctors and hospitals in the area you’ll be visiting. Select the option to Find a doctor in other states or worldwide at the bottom of the page; or call 1-800-810-BLUE (2583).
3. Always show your member ID card when you arrive at the participating doctor’s office or hospital.
4. Call the toll-free Admission Notification number on the back of your member ID card, if you have to be hospitalized.

In Case of Emergency

Whether you’re a BlueOptions, BlueChoice or BlueCare^® member, you’re covered in the event of an emergency. So remember, always seek immediate medical attention in an emergency situation.
