The U.S. Food and Drug Administration recently approved an osteoporosis medication called Reclast, which is an intravenous infusion for postmenopausal women that is given just once per year. The medication provides a full year’s worth of protection against osteoporosis with one infusion that takes about 15 minutes. In rare cases, Reclast may cause abnormal heart rhythms. Talk with your physician to find out if Reclast may be right for you.
