It has been an exciting time to begin as President and CEO of Montefiore Medical Center. We have many new and innovative programs underway to better serve your healthcare needs. I am pleased to introduce Montefiore’s new community newsletter, Keeping You Healthy. On these pages, you’ll find information to help you care for yourself and your family and help you stay as healthy and active as possible. The newsletter includes topics for everyone—from children to older adults.
This first issue includes tips for coping with summertime heat, the importance of healthcare screenings and other advice to help you stay healthy all year. There is also news about Montefiore and the exciting changes that are underway. You’ll read about our Children’s Hospital, recently named one of the best in the nation, and about our new North Division, formerly Our Lady of Mercy, where you can receive excellent Montefiore care.
