At Montefiore Medical Group (MMG) Co-op City (Dreiser Loop), you can get comprehensive primary care services in a warm and inviting environment.

“This isn’t just a hectic place where people feel rushed by healthcare providers they don’t know,” says Kathy Raftery, administrator of MMG Co-op City (Dreiser Loop). “We have a very homey site and a friendly atmosphere. We serve our patients coffee, tea and cookies, and although we handle more than 13,000 patient visits every year, we know most of our patients by their first names.”

You also get the benefit of seeing a Montefiore Medical Center doctor and having access to an extensive range of specialty health services.

A team of four physicians cares for patients at MMG Co-op City (Dreiser Loop). Two of them have been with the site for more than 30 years and have been seeing some of their patients just as long. Many staff members have also been at the site since its opening as a Health Insurance Plan of New York facility. MMG began operating the center in 2000.

Staff at MMG Co-op City (Dreiser Loop) provides high-quality primary care and preventive services, electrocardiograms and laboratory services for adults. Sick patients who need medical attention can schedule sameday appointments.

The site’s primary care physicians refer patients to specialists as needed. Patients who have appointments with specialists can take advantage of a free shuttle service that runs from MMG Coop City (Dreiser Loop) to Montefiore’s Moses and Weiler campuses.

The doctors at MMG Co-op City (Dreiser Loop) are also very committed to improving the health of all residents in Co-op City. They host a variety of community events and luncheons about timely health topics for older adults.

MMG Co-op City (Dreiser Loop) is conveniently located in the Dreiser Loop Shopping Complex. The site is open six days a week during the following hours:

Monday & Wednesday: 8:30 am to 7:00 pm
Tuesday, Thursday & Friday: 8:30 am to 5:00 pm
Saturday: 9:00 am to 12:00 noon
