Nuntiya Kakanantadilok, DMD, known as “Dr. K” by her patients, is the director of the Division of Pediatric Dentistry at Montefiore Medical Center. She and her colleagues offer comprehensive dental care services that focus on the needs of infants, children, adolescents and young adults with special healthcare needs.

“Our dental treatment takes our patients’ behavior, growth, development and future attitude toward oral health into consideration,” Dr. K says. “Our goal is to provide our patients with a ‘dental home’ where they feel comfortable establishing a longlasting relationship with their dentist and returning for routine and acute dental care.”

While Dr. K provides overall dental services to her patients, she has a special interest in caring for young patients who suffer from dentoalveolar trauma or injuries to the teeth and surrounding bone.

Dr. K graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her residency in pediatric dentistry at Montefiore. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, and has been part of the medical staff at Montefiore since 1997. She also serves as an assistant professor in the Department of Dentistry at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.
