NRMC Auxiliary

Patients and families benefit from the generous contributions of these volunteers.

Since 1969, Auxiliary members have volunteered their time and talents to support the healing mission of Nevada Regional Medical Center. Countless patients and families have benefited from their generous contributions. Over the years, the Auxiliary has purchased several items for the hospital including patient monitoring equipment, cribs for the nursery, televisions and paintings for the hospital, furniture for many of the waiting areas and aviaries for Barone and Moore-Few Care Centers.

These gifts have been made possible through sales in the Gift Shop and special promotions including jewelry and book sales. In addition, the Auxiliary provides thousands of hours of invaluable service to patients and visitors to the hospital.

Volunteers help at the information desk, assist family members in the surgery waiting area, manage the Gift Shop, help with clerical tasks and escort patients needing additional assistance in wheelchairs.

Last year, the NRMC Auxiliary provided more than 7,000 hours of volunteer service to the hospital. At minimum wage, this saved Nevada Regional Medical Center nearly $40,000.
