Arthritis and Fibromyalgia Self-Help Group

Dates and Time: Tuesdays, October 2 to November 6; 2 to 3 p.m.

Class fee is $15 for six-week session, includes Arthritis Help book.

Caregiver’s Support Group

Dates and Time: October 2 and November 6; 6:30 p.m.

Mardi Gras Masquerade

Date and Time: October 6; 6 p.m.
Location: Nevada Fraternal Order of Eagles Tickets are $75 per couple or $40 for individuals. For tickets, contact the NRMC Foundation at 417-448-3609.

Breast Cancer Awareness

Date and Time: October 15; 6:30 p.m. Presented by Dr. Jill Spangler.
Location: Mezzanine Conference Room
No fee.

Childbirth Class

Intended for women in the last trimester of pregnancy. It is important to attend the entire series to get the most benefit for you and your baby.
Dates and Time: October 23 to November 20; 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Location: Third Floor Classroom
No class fee.

HeartSavers CPR

Date and Time: October 25; 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Location: Third Floor Classroom
Class fee is $50.

Day Care Provider’s Education: Fire Prevention and Safety

Educational credits are offered to help licensed day care providers obtain their required class time.
Date and Time: October 29; 6:30 p.m.

The Great American Smokeout

Date and Time: November 15; 7 to 9 a.m.

Free smoker survival kits will be available.

Cancer Support Group

Look Good … Feel Better

Healthy Holiday Cooking

Sibling Celebration

Designed for children ages 2 to 6. Helps children celebrate becoming a big brother or big sister. Class includes a tour of the OB department.
Date and Time: November 8; 3 to 3:45 p.m.

Infant/Child CPR

Parents and caregivers can learn how to perform CPR on an infant or small child.
Date and Time: November 13; 6:30 p.m.
Location: Medical Arts Conference Room
No class fee.

PACE (People with Arthritis Can Exercise)

This exercise class is designed specifically for people with arthritis. This program will help participants keep their joints flexible, maintain muscle strength and build overall stamina.
Dates and Time: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 10:30 to 11:15 a.m.
Location: Moore-Few Community Room
Class fee is $10 for a two-month session.

PACE Aquatics

This warm water class is designed for people with arthritis to help improve their mobility. Participants do not need to be swimmers to join.
Dates and Times: Mondays and Wednesdays from 12 to 12:45 p.m.; Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m.
Class fee is $10 for an eight-week session.

Diabetic Education

Date and Time: Every Thursday.
Must have physician’s referral.
