The Staff of Barone Alzheimer’s Care Center is proud of the special love, caring and support that surrounds our residents. The moment you visit us, you’ll know that ours is a very special skilled nursing facility.

We believe the loss of skills can be slowed and independence maximized by consistently meeting basic human needs; maintaining good health; ensuring a safe, peaceful, accepting environment; and offering a variety of opportunities for exercise, socialization and activities.

Our staff is carefully chosen for personal qualities such as patience, compassion and the ability to handle repetitive actions. We are trained to respond to the person behind the illness, not to the symptoms of the illness itself. We offer:

• 24-hour licensed professional nursing care and oversight for people with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias
• Assistance with eating, dressing, bathing, grooming and toileting
• Routine structure, familiar calm surroundings, freedom to safely wander inside and out
• Activities, exercise, lifestimulating involvement
• Regular medical/nursing assessment of condition with intervention and treatment tailored to meet individual and family preference
• A full range of services to manage all stages of the disease and any other illnesses or problems associated with aging.
